Fiberglass pool prices by size in Ohio: 9x17 to 16x40

Published Last reviewed 7 min readBy Ohio State Pools, Ravenna

Short answer

An installed fiberglass pool from Ohio State Pools costs $68,400 to $103,900 in Northeast Ohio, depending on size and model. The 9 ft wide Enrichment 9x17 and the Dignity 10x20 are $68,400. Most 12 ft wide family pools run $72,900 to $80,500, 14 ft wide pools $79,800 to $92,300, and 16 ft wide pools $89,200 to $103,900, topping out with the Virtuous 16x40. Every price includes the Liberty shell, Pentair pump, DE filter, a pool heater and LED lights, a 4 ft concrete wrap deck, starter chemicals, installation and the electrical hook-up at the equipment.

What does each fiberglass pool size cost installed?

These are our published installed package prices for every Liberty Composites model and size we sell, grouped by width. Width is the number that decides most of the price, and it is usually the number your yard decides for you. Depths and gallons come from Liberty's own spec pages. Liberty notes that lengths, widths, depths and volume can vary by up to 3 percent from the listed figures.

A few notes on the table. The Merit is priced as a 14'6" by 28 ft pool, and Liberty's spec page lists its outside measurements as 14'4" by 27'7". The Heavenly 14 Deluxe is listed by Liberty at 13'10" by 32 ft. Where a single depth is shown, the pool has a flat or nearly flat floor. Every model on this list is non-diving, as Liberty states for its shells.

What is included in every one of those prices?

The same equipment list comes with every size, so you are comparing pools, not packages. Each price covers the Liberty shell, full installation, a Pentair variable-speed pump, a Pentair DE filter, Pentair MicroBrite color-changing LED lights, a 4 ft concrete wrap deck around the pool, a cleaning kit, starter chemicals and the electrical hook-up at the equipment.

What sits outside the package depends on your yard and your town, so we price it after we see the site. The usual items are the barrier fence your town requires, extra decking or patio beyond the 4 ft wrap, hauling away the spoils from the dig, dewatering if groundwater fills the hole, and the electrical run from your house panel out to the equipment pad. A pool heater is included in every package; covers, automation and water features are upgrades priced from the design.

Why does a wider pool cost so much more?

Our 12 ft wide pools run $72,900 to $80,500, and our 16 ft wide pools start at $89,200. Some of that gap is the shell itself, which uses more material. Most of it is everything around the shell. A bigger pool means a bigger hole, more gravel base and backfill, more spoils to move, more water to fill and heat, and more linear feet of concrete deck in the 4 ft wrap. The Virtuous 16x40 holds about 21,000 gallons, more than four times the Enrichment 9x24 next to it on the price list.

Length adds less than width. The three Enrichment lengths show it well: going from 17 ft to 24 ft on the same 9 ft width adds $5,400. The two Stature sizes show the other side of it. Same model family, but the 13x37 is a much bigger pool than the 13x23 and costs $15,400 more.

Why do two pools of the same size cost different amounts?

Size is not the only thing in the shell. Look at the 14x30 row: the Relaxation is $85,800 and the Anthem is $90,200. The shells have different layouts, depths and built-in features like benches, swim-up seating and tanning ledges, and more molded detail means more material and labor at the factory. The Anthem goes to 6'1" at the deep end and the Relaxation to 6'.

The same is true at 16x40. The Devotion is $97,500 and the Virtuous is $103,900. The Virtuous reaches 8 ft deep and holds about 21,000 gallons, where the Devotion reaches 6'6" and holds about 17,000. If you do not need the extra depth, the difference is money you could put toward an automatic cover or a water feature.

How much more is a Deluxe model with a built-in spa?

Liberty makes four of these pools in Deluxe versions with a spa molded into the same shell. On our price list the spa adds between $2,500 and $4,900 over the matching standard model:

  • Hero 12x26 is $74,900, and the Hero Deluxe is $79,800, $4,900 more.
  • Relaxation 14x30 is $85,800, and the Relaxation Deluxe is $90,100, $4,300 more.
  • Heavenly 14x32 is $89,800, and the Heavenly Deluxe is $92,300, $2,500 more.
  • Unity 16x35 is $93,800, and the Unity Deluxe is $96,500, $2,700 more.

A spa you actually want warm needs heat, so plan on a heater with any Deluxe model. The spa section holds far less water than the main pool and warms quickly, so it gets used on cool spring and fall evenings when the pool itself is too cold to enjoy. The gallons drop on a Deluxe shell because some of the footprint becomes spa.

How do these prices compare with Ohio cost guides?

Angi's 2026 data puts fiberglass pools at $55,000 to $100,000 nationally. Our range sits inside and slightly above that, and the reason is scope. Our number already includes the Pentair equipment, the 4 ft concrete deck and startup, where many online figures describe a basic set-and-backfill job without deck or electrical. When you compare any quote, including ours, line it up item by item: shell model, equipment brand and type, deck size, electrical, fencing, spoils, permits.

Which size fits a typical Northeast Ohio backyard?

Most families here land on 12 to 14 ft wide. It is enough room to swim a few strokes and for kids to play without the pool taking over the yard. Start from the lot, not the brochure. Your town's setbacks keep the pool a set distance off the property lines, and the barrier fence, deck and equipment pad all have to fit around the water too. A 16x40 plus a 4 ft deck on every side is a 24 by 48 ft footprint before a single chair goes out.

Floor shape matters as much as size for how a pool gets used. The Independence has a flat 4'6" floor and the Enrichment sizes sit at 4'9" throughout, so an adult can stand anywhere in them. That suits volleyball, games with kids and people who mostly want to stand and talk in the water. Pools that slope from 3'6" down to 5' or 5'6", like the Victory and Hero, give small kids a shallow end and still leave room for adults to swim.

Deep water is a choice, not a requirement. None of these pools are rated for diving, and a deep end past 6 ft costs more to heat and does not add much for most families. On the wet clay lots common across this region, a shallower shell can also mean a shallower dig and fewer problems with groundwater.

We design every pool in 3D on your actual lot before anything is dug, so you can see a Hero 12x26 and a Relaxation 14x30 side by side in your own yard and pick with your eyes, not only the price list.

How do you turn a package price into a real number?

Pick two or three sizes from the table that you like, then let us walk the site. On the visit we check access for the excavator and the truck carrying the shell, how the ground drains, where the spoils can go, how far the equipment pad sits from your electrical panel and what your town requires for the barrier. The quote that follows starts from the package price in the table and lists every addition on its own line. We handle the permits from there, and we work with lenders including PoolLoan.net and HFS Financial if you want to finance part of it.
