Who the Glory suits
The Glory is for a big household that wants a big pool without a deep end nobody uses. At 5 ft 10 in at its deepest, most adults can stand throughout, while 38 ft of length still gives you room to swim. Liberty calls the design clean and sophisticated, able to soothe the mind and handle any rogue cannonball. We would add that a rectangle this size looks right next to a long back wall of a house or a formal patio.
Liberty describes the Tradition as the Glory's little brother. If the Glory is too much for your lot, the Tradition is the same idea at 16 by 33 ft.
How the layout works
Liberty tags the Glory with swim-up seating and multiple entry and exit points. The floor runs from 3 ft 6 in to 5 ft 10 in. Compared with the Heavenly 16, which is nearly the same outline at 15 ft 10 in by 38 ft, the Glory gives up the tanning ledge and the deeper 6 ft 8 in end but holds about 3,000 more gallons of open water. That trade is the main question when families compare the two.
Fitting a 16 by 38 on an Ohio lot
With our 4 ft deck, the Glory covers about 24 by 46 ft. On a lot in Strongsville, where pools and their equipment must stay 15 ft from every lot line, you need a backyard well over 50 ft wide just for the deck and setbacks, before a fence or lounge area. In towns that allow 10 ft, like Stow, there is more room, but a pool of this size still shapes the whole yard.
Being a rectangle, the Glory is tagged auto cover ready. On a pool with this much surface, a cover pays off. It keeps heat in on cool Ohio nights, keeps leaves out in fall and acts as a barrier when it is closed.
Access is the other check. A 16 ft wide shell arrives in one piece and is lifted by crane, so we look at the route, overhead wires and soft ground during the site visit.
What the $96,300 installed price includes
You get the Liberty shell and full installation, a Pentair variable-speed pump, a Pentair DE filter, Pentair MicroBrite color-changing LED lights, a 4 ft concrete wrap deck, a cleaning kit, starter chemicals and the electrical hook-up at the equipment. We design it in 3D and handle the permits.
Site items are priced after we walk the yard: barrier fence, extra decking, spoils haul-off, dewatering if needed and the power run from the panel. A pool this size moves a lot of soil, so the haul-off line matters more here than on a small shell.
Common upgrades on a Glory
The automatic cover is the first thing we would add, then a heater. After that, owners tend to add a spillover spa at one end, sheer descents along the back wall, and more patio for the crowd a pool this size draws. Automation helps with a larger system, because you can set pump, heater and lights from a phone. If you entertain often, plan the lighting early; a long rectangle lit from both ends looks far better at night than one lit from a single fixture.
